Professional Profile

Megan graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice Studies from the University of Southern Indiana in 2017.  Throughout Megan's time at USI, she was very active in the Student Criminal Justice association and two internships with Adult Probation and the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office.  Megan  got to meet with probationers at appointed time, ensure compliane, and learn the day-to-day field operations for motor patrol. Megan had the pleasure of spending time in corrections and overseeing felony court proceedings.  Immediately following graduation, Megan became an assessment worker with the Indiana Department of Child Services. For the next five years, Megan would investigate child abuse and neglect for Warrick County. Megan focused on family restoration, connecting families with services, and ensuring child safety. Throughout that time, Megan obtained a national certification in Forensically Interviewing and trained seven employees.

In July of 2022, Megan was able to fully be submerged, back where her passion lies, in the Criminal Justice System through employment at the Drug and Alcohol Deferral Services (DADS) program. Megan thrives on assisting others and ensuring legal accountability, all while maintainting a rehabilitative mindset.

A fun fact about Megan is that she has toured seven penitentiaries spanning from Illinois, Indiana, and Kentuck; the maximum security facility being located in Eddyville, Kentucky.l When Megan is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, playing cards, reading books, and being around water.

Megan is a Court Substance Abuse Management Specialist.
